- Tip: Download offline maps for Tokyo/Kyoto before your trip (saves data)
- Works for all transportation โ trains, buses, walking, driving
Google Translate
- Why: Camera translation for menus and signs, conversation mode for speaking
- Tip: Download the Japanese offline pack before traveling. Camera translation works without internet!
Suica (Apple Wallet) or Mobile PASMO
- Why: Tap to ride trains and pay at stores โ no physical card needed
